Magma geopark is working to get the Eco-lighthouse certification

Magma geopark AS is in a process where the goal is to be certified as an Eco-lighthouse company (a national environmental certification, complying with the European standard EMAS). This means that we will work more systematically in order to reduce our environmental impact. Environmental impact is not just about introducing routines and procedures for how we sort our waste or how much energy we use. It is also largely about how we make our purchases and what requirements we place on products and services. We are committed to taking our share of corporate social responsibility by reducing our environmental impact to the greatest possible extent. For this reason, we are now approaching our owners and partners, with a request that their companies also take the same responsibility and become environmentally certified, if they haven’t done that yet.

Eco-lighthouse is an environmental management system and a good tool to follow up and work continuously in order to reduce the company’s environmental impact. Magma Geopark AS will, in future procurement and cooperation, choose environmentally certified suppliers and partners whenever possible.
