TeachOUT is the result of the Erasmus + project ESTEAM. The project was led by Idrija UNESCO Global Geopark, and in addition to Magma UNESCO Global Geopark, Naturtejo UNESCO Global Geopark (Portugal), the University of Ljubljana and the ICT company Locatify (Iceland) were partners in the project.

The ESTEAM project went over 4 years, from 2016 to 2019, and was divided into 3 phases that all resulted in so-called e-books. The first book presents research on curricula in natural science in the three participating countries. Book No. 2 serves as an overview of methodology related to outdoor teaching in natural science, and the third book contains the information you need to be able to use TeachOUT yourself.
