Getting to know Egersund and the surrounding area is a fantastic experience from both the passenger and driver's seat. Perhaps you want to head up to the world-famous Trollpikken, take a short drive out to the idyllic Eiger\u00f8y lighthouse or want to experience the entire Dalane region? The possibilities are endless, whether you're looking for a calm and relaxing holiday, or you like speed and excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" autoplay controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/magmageopark.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/bilferie-web1.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drive along the National Tourist Route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The stretch from J\u00e6ren towards Egersund, Sokndal and all the way to Flekkefjord has now become part of National Tourist Routes. This route offers a unique cultural landscape and idyllic coastal towns along the North Sea. The route is 130 kilometres long and is definitely a drive to recommend! There's a lot to experience and take photos of on this trip, so allow plenty of time for a few stops along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norway's most complete motorsport centre is also located close to Egersund: Motorcenter Norway. Book an overnight stay at Grand Hotell, take a trip to our neighbouring municipality and experience the fantastic nature on the way from Egersund to Motorcenter Norway. Are you in a shopping mood? Check out the rich selection of clothing stores the city has to offer. More interested in food? You'll find several niche shops that sell quality products with pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Egersund Servering offers restaurants for all tastes: <a href=\"https:\/\/magmageopark.no\/en\/location-object\/welcome-to-knife-fork\/\">Knife &amp; Fork<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/magmageopark.no\/en\/location-object\/welcome-to-the-library-fashion-square-at-torge\/\">The library<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/magmageopark.no\/en\/location-object\/welcome-to-the-cosy\/\">The cuddle<\/a>. And on the pier in the centre of town, you'll find the Ice Bar and free mini-golf throughout the summer. The office is a nightlife venue with a pub, karaoke and courtyard - and is located just a few metres from <a href=\"https:\/\/magmageopark.no\/en\/location-object\/grand-hotel-in-the-heart-of-egersund\/\">Grand Hotel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Egersund town centre also offers three different galleries for artistic inspiration!
