Guided walking tour in Egersund

Get to know Egersund's history, locations and interesting facts about the town. Did you know why there are so many colorful houses in Okka town? Or that we have exciting links to e.g. the royal family and the king of pop Elvis Presley? You will find out during the trip.

City walking tours start every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. at the tourist office throughout the month of July.

Do you want to take a city walk on your own? You can get city walking brochures at tourist information and several other places in the city centre. You can also download an app from Magma Geopark and follow the route using your mobile phone. If you have a group and want a tailored guided tour, also contact Magma Geopark.

Every Wednesday in July you have the opportunity to take part in a City Walk in Egersund. The trip is with Johan Aakre, and lasts 1.5 hours. You meet at the tourist information office at 10.50 and the tour starts at 11.00.

Johan Aakre has access to many exciting places in the city and can tell it in a way you're sure to remember! With a background in business, advertising and newspapers, he knows a lot about the connections between the present and the past.
