Geology and nature

Science has not yet been able to find a scientific answer to why some stones sing. Various theories have been presented, but none of them are legitimate. The most common theory is that the singing rocks consists of a special mineral, or a specific mix of minerals. This is not yet proven to be the reason for some stones to sing, because many of these rocks consists of different minerals.

Culture and history

Throughout history man has searched for explanations for natural phenomenas and features. Legends and stories are told from one generation to the next, and this is an important part of our natural and cultural heritage. There have been stories about singing rock calling out to people. Other stories tell about elves and forest people living inside these rocks, making them sing.

Maybe it’s all just a wee bit of magic?
