08:00 Breakfast at Sogndalstrand Kulturhotell and packed lunch.
09:00 Drive towards Nesvåg along the beautiful coastal road via Rekefjord.
09:30 Visit Nesvaag Maritime and Motor Museum and explore the coastal culture. 

10:30 Hike to Nesvåghålo with great views of the North Sea.
12:00 Continue towards Linepollen and park at the trailhead.
12:30 Walk uphill along the historic Malmbanen railway.
13:00 Take a lunch break at Ruggesteinen and explore the old iron bridges.
14:00 Continue your journey through the beautiful landscape of Blåfjelldalen.
15:00 Visit the abandoned Blåfjell mines and learn about the history of the area.
16:00 Return to the car park at Linepollen.

Drive to Linepollen - from coast to mountain landscape

Winding roads, quiet valleys and changing scenery

Continue your journey through narrow, charming roads towards Linepollen, where the terrain changes from open coast to tranquil inland landscapes. A small car park by the water marks the start of the next part of the adventure. Here you'll find toilets, access to the water and the entrance to Blåfjelldalen's historic mining route.

Walk along Malmbanen - traces of mining history

Easy trails, mountain landscapes and stories in the terrain

Follow the old Malmbanen, the railway line that transported iron ore from the Blåfjell mines to Rekefjord. The gravel road winds through peaceful forest and mountain areas and reveals traces of 19th-century engineering. An easy and atmospheric walk where nature and history go hand in hand.

Ruggesteinen and lunch break - a landmark in Blåfjelldalen

Historic bridges, a huge boulder and the perfect picnic spot

Soon you'll reach the iron bridges from the 1860s and the impressive Ruggesteinen - a 74-tonne ruggestein and a local geological icon. The area is a lovely spot for a packed lunch, with benches, a nearby waterfall and the calm atmosphere of the valley. A natural centrepiece before continuing into the landscape.

Further along the valley, you'll pass impressive stone walls and structures from the 1860s. These hand-built structures show the skill and effort that was once required to transport ore through the valley.
