The Hågåsen cultural trail tells the stories of the Hågåsen through nine signs scattered around the mountain.
Hågåsen in Kirkehamn on Hidra has many interesting stories that previously did not reach all those who visit this pearl every year. The Germans had a lot of activity here during the Second World War, there was a big battle here during the Napoleonic Wars and an optical telegraph has been placed on top of Hågåsen.
In addition, Kirkehamn, which can be seen from the top, is full of port, fishing and sailing ship history. In collaboration with the County Conservator in Vest-Agder, Hågåsen's Friends and local zealots, Smaabyen Flekkefjord has now brought out some of these stories. Thanks to benevolent landowners and local supporters. A special thanks to Nils Olav Vågen for a lot of help with stories and pictures.
