Watch the documentary The Sea People in the cinema!Havfolket (The Sea People) is a nostalgic, witty and hilarious tribute to life along the Norwegian coast, and the people who have clung to islands, islets and fishing villages since time immemorial. The cinema documentary is made up of unique archival treasures spanning almost a hundred years, and the narrators include some of the coast's best voices, such as Halvdan Sivertsen, Trude Drevland and Pål «Moddi» Lue.The result is a magnificent film that depicts a coastal culture that so many of us are rooted in, and with which everyone has a relationship. Hardly any Norwegians are untouched by the sea, whether you associate it with fishing and hunting, ferry queues and strict ticket inspectors, fierce gusts of wind and closed bridges, or Midsummer celebrations and youthful flirtation on islets and skerries. Havfolket touches on important events, such as the start of the oil adventure and the burning and rebuilding of Finnmark - but it's the people and everyday life along the coast that are the very essence of the film.See an overview of more screenings here: https://www.sokndalkino.no/Buy tickets here: https://checkout.ebillett.no/188/events/3856/purchase/setup?kanal=dxf
