Coming from a farm can be both a privilege and a burden. It can be experienced as a duty or as a joy - yes perhaps as a duty and joy at the same time? So what should the person who comes from a farm choose when he or she has moved to the city where the cafes, pubs and cultured people are more densely packed than high piers on the unkempt land? Should one move back home to the farm or stay in the city?

These are the questions that author, photographer and noblewoman Johanne Nyborg from the village of Berle in Bremanger municipality has pondered in her non-fiction book 12 Days in April. Maybe she can find the answer to some of the questions during lambing at home on the farm? This evening, Nyborg reads aloud from the book and you will meet her in conversation with teacher and sheep farmer Bjørn Tore Birkeland from Bjerkreim about these and many other questions. We also need to talk about the sheep, what is it about these animals that binds us to both them and to the village?
