Nyyyt is a family business located in beautiful countryside at Røysland Gaard in Bjerkreim. All our products come from local farmers, which gives a completely unique taste. We have our own butchery and production premises, as well as a meat shop on the farm.
With local roots and knowledge, the vision is to create products with a unique history and the best taste experience.
Nyyyt was founded on 10 November 2005 by 7 local farmers, of which 3 of the original owners remain. Georg Fredrik, Kristoffer Emil and Kjell Ivar – all with the surname Ueland.
We at Nyyyt are passionate about quality meat. We handpick meat of the best quality so that it benefits discerning customers, and not least it gives added value to the farmers we work with. We deliver to the restaurant, shop and private market.
In Nyyyt, we are also very fond of chocolate and we are the proud owners of Sjokoladehjørna with production premises at Røysland Gaard. Here we have tasted up to 80 different types of handmade varieties. All pieces are made by hand and of course with beautiful Belgian chocolate.
Our own farm slaughterhouse and production premises means that we have full control over everything from quality to completion. It does something to the taste. Creating good products takes time. It's worth it. You too can experience our products.
Our first evenings with our "Farm to table" concept out in our meat shop at Røysland Gård were a success. We are now setting up more dates. We set up a long table, and plan for many pleasant conversations around the table with good food to drink, and storytelling from our own Georg-Fredrik!
Here you get 8 servings with the best meat we have to offer from Røysland Gaard, including Norwegian Wagyu from Kjell-Ivar. We have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability, and therefore only use local ingredients from Rogaland in our menus. It is important for us to have a common thread in everything we do, and by using local suppliers with a great passion for their products, we ensure quality at all stages.
The menu is complimented with a fantastic wine package put together by our own sommelier Jonathan Lundgren, whom most people know well from his time at Tango, and who now runs JRL Wine Consulting. Nothing has been spared here, and we promise an experience you won't soon forget.
Now you can buy the wonderful, local products directly in our large meat shop at Røysland Gaard. The counter is full of dry-aged, ribs, sausages, cold cuts, pinnasteik and other goodies.
In the butchers shop you will also find our ham hotel. Here, cured hams from free-range pigs from Røysland and organic pigs from Heinrich Jung are left to mature. Well-stored hams hang around for up to 2 years before they are ready, and then they also taste fantastic. Feel free to ask us about ham hotels.
