Geopark activities for Secondary

Magma Geopark, in collaboration with Dalane Folkemuseum, offers educational programmes for upper secondary schools at Jøssingfjord Science Museum.

For upper secondary schools, we offer programmes within several themes:

  • Rocks and minerals
  • Natural and cultural history
  • Sustainability and natural resources

We can also organise training programmes on other topics on request.

Guided tour with instructor from Magma Geopark

 

We offer a guided field trip to Eigerøy Lighthouse for upper secondary schools, especially for geoscience classes. The tour goes through a 930 million year old magma chamber, with fascinating geological phenomena on the way to the lighthouse. The focus is on geology and cultural heritage.
