Åna-Sira - the village on the border

Welcome to the village shared by Western Norway and Southern Norway, Rogaland and Agder, Flekkefjord and Sokndal. Here you'll find unique nature experiences, a beautiful cultural landscape, a great swimming area and a meeting place for cross-border trade. Everyone is welcome to Åna.

Grensebygda is Agder's westernmost point and offers spectacular nature experiences. Here you'll find Brufjell and Brufjellhålene, Sandvika with its diversity of rock types, and Smellerglova, where different rock types create a unique play of colours.

You can take a historical walk to the old salmon stairs, see the remains of the warp road or take a dip in the iconic ponds, which were created for ice production in the early 1800s. Explore one of the 26 signposted hiking trails, try out the great frisbee court - or just relax outside Grensehandelen and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The local grocery store, also called Grensehandelen, offers tourist information, groceries, fuel, propane, fishing equipment, customer toilet, nets, pharmacy goods, charging station and more. It's always open - 24/7.
