The Fathers' Memory is located in the old schoolhouse in Rasvåg and conveys history through objects, pictures and texts.
Among the unique exhibits is Norway's oldest leather trousers, which are around 650 years old.
Here is also a replica of the “Hydrahakken” which was found in Kirkehamn and is dated to 7725-7535 BCE. The original is on display at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
The Fathers' Memory is open has fixed opening hours during the summer months, otherwise it is open on request.
