With a love for local and short-traveled food.
Food & drink is the most important thing of all, and it's been that way since we humans started our life on this planet. Back then, we had to find all our sustenance in the nature we were surrounded by, locally.
We need to rediscover the gratitude and respect that humans once had for local nature and the food and drink it gave us.
"Local food" local food & drink. Local food is "from here" and the experience of "from here" is rooted in traditions, identity and local food culture.
Local food is not only about local food culture and history, it is also about local value creation, sustainability, climate and environment. In that perspective, it is essential that Lokalmat is short-traveled and sold and consumed locally.
Eigerøy is home to Løyning Gård, a local producer of cattle, wild sheep, free-range pigs and sheep. The animals graze on common pasture and coastal heathland on the coast at Eigerøy.
The farm shop is open 08-22 every day.
The shop sells local food from its own production and from other local producers.
Eggs, cheese, jam, honey, cakes, meat, sausages and burgers are just some of what Løyning Gård has in the farm shop.
