Since 1990, Eigersund Musikkråd has been able to welcome
"Music in the Church" in the month of July
The concerts have a varied programme, performed by talented artists at both local and national level.
What happens inside the brain when we listen to music? Both good and sad feelings become much stronger when the pianist played. At a concert you don't just get the sound, you also see the musicians and get to communicate with them. Mimicry and facts reinforce the experience. It is therefore absolutely certain that live music - where there is some kind of communication between musician and audience - seems stronger than recorded music. The great feelings that come from live music also happen because concerts are so social. Being physically present is simply the best thing for the concert experience.
