Swimming outdoors in Egersund

Fancy a swim? In Egersund we have many bathing and swimming areas, both for those who want to swim in the sea and those who want to swim in fresh water.

Skadbergsanden

The largest bathing area in Eigersund Municipality with over 500 meters of sandy beach and low dunes. The beach is long and a favorite among the local population. Great for the whole family. Toilet. Large parking space and easily accessible by car or bus from the city centre. HC parking. Ramp partially down onto the beach.

The river park

After walking around the city and shopping in the city centre, take a trip to Egersund's beautiful new river park, which has now become the most popular bathing spot close to the city center in summer. Lundeåna is a natural "water park" with potholes, small waterfalls and caves. The area is arranged with a small beach, several benches and seating as well as free Wi-Fi. A perfect place to treat yourself to an ice cream in the afternoon sun!

Vannbassengan

Is a slightly hilly and versatile conifer forest area located just northeast of the center of Egersund. Previously, the old waterworks for Egersund was located up here. Today, both the pools and the old stoned canals create excitement and variety in the forest environment. With its location, nature and user-friendly facilities, Vannbassengan is today one of the most used outdoor recreation areas in Dalane.

Mastrasanden

Is a popular bathing spot that is accessible both on foot and by boat. From the car park, it is approximately a 15-minute walk to the beach. Several hiking trails and small cozy beaches.

Gådå

The idyllic bathing area is perfect for the whole family of all sizes, especially those with small children. Shallow fresh water and small cozy beaches create a peaceful atmosphere for young and old. For the teenagers in the family, there is a pool where you can plunge and dive. If you are lucky, you can see freshwater fish swimming around in the water. HC parking.
