In the heart of Egersund, surrounded by charming little wooden houses, the Christmas Village opens its doors to a world of smells, flavours and sounds that make the Christmas spirit grow in your body. The streets are filled with sparkling lights, cosy stalls and happy people, where young and old can experience true Christmas joy.

The idea started in 2003 when a local initiator was inspired by a successful Christmas market in England. With enthusiasm and creativity, a study group took inspiration from Frankfurt and came back with a clear goal: to create a Christmas town in Egersund that was warm, vibrant and full of joy.

In 2004, the Christmas Town became a reality, run by volunteers who still put their heart and soul into the event. Memories are created that last, and children who first experienced the town as children may one day return with their own children to show off a town filled with atmosphere, tradition and genuine Christmas joy.

The Christmas Village in Egersund is more than a market. It's an experience that fills your heart and brings the town to life with warmth, magic and memories you'll want to take home with you.
