Baker Hansen - Chet in Norwegian at Skrivergården in Egersund

Chet Baker's voice and trumpet are the narrative voice of cool jazz.

But how do these stories sound in our own native language?

Since 2010, Baker Hansen has created his own musical stories based on the music made famous by Chet Baker. The stories are timeless and well-known, but the lyrics are rewritten into Norwegian and performed in dialect by vocalist Sigurd Rotvik Tunestveit from Ål in Hallingdal. In our own language, both the music and the content come closer, and the concerts offer a listening experience that audiences at over 200 concerts in Norway and Sweden have greatly appreciated.

Baker Hansen has released three albums: Not like you (2014), Old Days (2016) and Live in Oslo with John Pål Inderberg (2019).
