Holiday tips: Activities in the lunar landscape

If you're looking for an active holiday, we recommend a trip to Trollpikken, kayaking along the Eigerøy lighthouse, cycling and climbing.

Visit Trollpikken and Eigerøy lighthouse

Trollpikken is a great trip to go on with your family or friends, and worth taking if you're in Egersund. You can either drive or Rent a bike from the city centre to get to Trollpikken. Bring your swimwear! Along the trail you can find a waterfall and several potholes where you can swim.

Eigerøy Lighthouse was built in 1853-54 and is one of Europe's strongest and Norway's first cast iron lighthouse. A trip to Eigerøy Lighthouse and an overnight stay in the lighthouse keeper's house is fantastic for those who want to enjoy nature in peace and quiet - but the coastline is also a perfect area for kayaking and other water activities.
