The magical Christmas in Flekkefjord - as if time stands still.
When the December darkness descends on Flekkefjord, something happens. The town wakes up, the old-fashioned way.
Out in the streets, people walk slowly. No-one is in a hurry. They stop, greet each other and wish each other «Merry Christmas» in voices full of warmth. Excited, happy children run through the streets. Beautiful brass band music wanders around every corner.
Snowflakes falling slowly over the old wooden houses in Hollenderbyen, where the light from lanterns and candles is reflected in the windows. The air smells of Christmas porridge and mulled wine, chimney smoke and fresh spruce from the forest.
Shops stay open late in December so you can find the perfect gift for your loved ones. Here, you won't find a thousand similar items - you'll find the one that's just right. You'll walk out with something that actually means something - both to the recipient and to our city.
This is old-fashioned Christmas. This is Flekkefjord.
