Inland fishing in 18 waters in Eigersund
Dalane Miljø- og Ressurslag SA, in collaboration with Eigersund municipality and Eigersund JFF, now offers inland fishing in 18 lakes in Eigersund. Here you can fish close to town or choose to go further out on a trip.
At inatur.no you can now buy a very affordable fishing licence that covers as many as 18 fishing lakes in Eigersund municipality, some of which are actually home to very fine trout. The lakes are managed by the municipality and Egersund Hunters' and Fishermen's Association, who are collaborating on this offer, for more information about which lakes and parts of lakes are included. The proceeds from card sales are used to manage and cultivate the fishing lakes.
There should be fishing opportunities for every taste. Both for children and beginners who want fish that are willing to bite as much as possible, and for more experienced anglers who are looking for the big fish. You can also choose between lakes close to the city, such as Langevatnet, and more remote areas such as parts of Nodlandsvatnet. Trout is the most common species in the lakes covered by the card, but there are also char in some lakes. Eels may occur, but this species is currently protected.
By law, children under the age of 16 have a general right to fish for inland fish free of charge (does not apply to anadromous fish such as salmon, sea trout and char), so they do not need a fishing licence. For adults, there is also no requirement to pay a fishing fee to fish for inland fish and crayfish, so all you need to do is buy a fishing licence. The card can either be purchased on the inatur.no website or locally at Sporty in Egersund town centre.
Salmon and sea trout :
Fishing for salmon and sea trout in the Hellelandselva river is managed by the river owners' association, which also sells fishing licences at inatur.no. Remember that the fishing fee must be paid in this case.
