After lunch, the trip continues to beautiful Hidra – an island known for its distinctive coastal landscape and rich history. At Hågåsen, you will enjoy a guided tour of the old defense installations from the Napoleonic Wars, with spectacular views of the sea and archipelago. You will hear about dramatic events, strategic importance, and the daily life of the soldiers who guarded the coast.

The tour continues to Kirkehamn, one of Southern Norway’s best-preserved fishing villages. Here you will learn about the island’s proud fishing history, traditional customs, and meet members of the local island community.

Egersund to Sogndalstrand is about 30 km (45 minutes). Sogndalstrand to Flekkefjord is about 40 km (60 minutes).

Transportation

We recommend travelling by car, or motorcycle, but it is also possible to hire a bus for larger groups.

Seasons

The trip is best in spring, summer and autumn. Roads may be slippery in winter.
