Galleri Gruvo – A cozy art cafe in the heart of Sokndal

Galleri Gruvo is a concept gallery that focuses on art, crafts and design. Here you can find small and large treasures from a variety of artists and designers, as well as their own brand. Besides the sales exhibition, they have coffee, soft drinks and delicious ice cream. You can take away, enjoy outside at the pavement café, or inside in front of the fireplace.

Gallery Gruvo

A shop by, with and for art, craft and design. Everything is made by hands that love what they do. Occasionally hosts small events. They sell various materials and equipment for painting etc., and have a cosy sofa corner where everyone is welcome. Here you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee, soft drinks and delicious homemade Italian ice cream. Historic building

The building we are in, Gamleveien 35, was built at the end of the 19th century by what is believed to be the first merchant in Hauge, Gustav Jensen Barstd (b.1856). The building has housed the electricity company's shop, office and workshop (around 1920), master shoemaker Vines (around 1935) and Urdals Sykkel & Sport (around 1980). And now - after 4 years of operation in rented premises - gallery Gruvo opened its own doors in Gamleveien 35B, February 2022.
