The colourful wooden town - Egersund

The colourful wooden town of Egersund is not just a beautiful sight - it is an expression of who we want to be: Diverse, vibrant and distinct. With colours that stretch from the past to the future.

Welcome to Egersund - a vibrant and beautiful coastal town where the history is in the walls, the colours in the houses and the future in the hearts of the people.

Just an hour from Stavanger, you'll find one of Norway's best-preserved wooden villages, known for its unique and colourful wooden buildings. Unlike the white southern villages, Egersund has chosen to stand firm in its character - with deep earth tones, ochre, red and green. The colours here tell stories. They emphasise the architecture, create identity and show that the town dares to be itself - in all its variety.

Egersund - a town with soul and character
Through the project Okka colours we've returned to the authentic colour palette that highlights the city's historical identity. But it's not just about aesthetics - it's about pride. About being true to who we are, and letting our uniqueness lead the way forward.

Colours that convey who we are
To be colourful is not just about paint and houses. For Egersund, it's also a value. A vision. Our colours say something about who we have been - and who we want to be. An open, diverse and warm city. A city with room for both tradition and renewal. A city that takes care of the past, but is not afraid to add colour to the future.
