A festival with a wide range of genres

Although the name promises blues, over the years the festival has practised a deliberate diversity in its programme - precisely to reach a wider audience. Traditional blues genres are purposefully combined with rock, soul, Americana and newer expressions that tend to attract a wide range of both loyal and new festival-goers.

The festival is known for its intimate feel, with stages such as:

• The bicycle workshop - an atmospheric, local concert venue used year after year

• Main stage - cosy concerts in the basement of Grand Hotell Egersund

• Tools scene (main scene) - Robust, indoor stage with powerful sound and lighting rig for the festival's biggest artists 

• The rock scene - a fresh expression since 2016, with harder and alternative elements that give young people cultural space

The stages are positioned so that the audience can easily move between them, contributing to a vibrant and accessible festival experience in the centre of Egersund.
