Explore the area

Magma Geopark area is located on the South-Western coast and extends across the five municipalities: Eigersund, Sokndal, Lund, Bjerkreim, and Flekkefjord.

Hike in the lunar landscape, enjoy the historic wooden buildings, experience the culture, go to the selfie-spots Trollpikken and Brufjell, or see the iconic houses that are built under the rock in Helleren.

Egersund

Explore one of Norway's best-preserved treehouse towns, with
colourful facades, pleasant pedestrian streets and charming niche shops.

Flekkefjord

- Where Southern Norway meets Western Norway. Find the good experiences, in the magical small town.

Sokndal

A small place with big experiences! You are welcomed to coastal culture, listed wooden houses, salmon rivers, inland lakes, the sea, marked hiking trails in a fantastic natural environment.

Bjerkreim

Bjerkreim offers breathtaking scenery and unforgettable huking experiences – and so much more than you think!

Lund

Lund municipality offers magnificent scenery in all three villages; Moi, Heskestad and Hovsherad. All the villages have a good starting point for great walks with many and varied cultural heritage sites.

Hidra

Hidra is a 10-minute ferry ride from the mainland, a short distance from Flekkefjord. Lazy holiday days can be spent in historic harbours, swimming or fishing among the islets and reefs, kayaking or hiking.
