Sokndal offers varied experiences for both young and old. Historical sights, activities on land and in water and, not least, great hiking opportunities in fantastic nature. There's a skate park and playground in the town centre, Via Ferrata Migaren and Helleren in Jøssingfjord, museums, street art, hiking and much more.
In the middle of the city centre you'll find a large playground with climbing frames, obstacle courses and lots of fun for children. There are toilets and an outdoor kitchen.
Round Sokndalhallen and sports centre a frisbee golf course has been set up and is open to all. I River Sira it's also a track.
There are several climbing routes in Jøssingfjord. You can contact Magma Geopark for equipment hire.
On At Bøstølen you will find a new hiking trail which will be adapted for wheelchairs and prams. In winter, there will be a light trail here for those who want to go skiing.
Sogndalstrand Golf Course is idyllically located at Kjelland, near Sogndalstrand. The course is played on 6 holes, par 19. Although the size of the course is limited, you will find challenges even as an experienced golfer.
A few metres from Parken and the playground in the city centre is Skateparken.
We have two sand volleyball courts in Sokndal. One is centrally located at Sokndalhallen and the other is just before the Linepollen bathing area.
The tennis court is located next to Sokndalhallen.
The sports centre in Sokndal consists of three football pitches, a ball pit, tennis court, climbing frame, sand volleyball court and sports hall.
